ガヤーシーサで、火を崇拝していたカッサパ三兄弟の改宗の後に説かれた「火の説法」で、感官とその対象すべてが貪瞋痴に燃え上がっていると宣言し、説法が終わると千人の元火崇拝者が阿羅漢果を得た。

The Fire Sermon, taught at Gayāsīsa after the conversion of the fire-worshipping Kassapa brothers, declaring the senses and their objects all ablaze with lust, hatred and delusion, at whose conclusion the thousand former fire-worshippers attained arahantship.
