မီးကိုးကွယ်ခဲ့သော ကဿပညီအစ်ကို ဘာသာပြောင်းပြီးနောက် ဂယာသီသတွင် ဟောကြားသော “မီးတရားတော်” ဟု ခေါ်သော သုတ်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ဣန္ဒြေများနှင့် ၄င်းတို့၏ အာရုံများသည် ကာမရာဂ၊ ဒေါသ၊ မောဟတို့ဖြင့် တောက်လောင်နေကြောင်း ကြေညာသည်။ တရားတော်ဆုံးသောအခါ ယခင် မီးကိုးကွယ်ခဲ့သူ တစ်ထောင်တို့ ရဟန္တာဖြစ်လာကြသည်။

The Fire Sermon, taught at Gayāsīsa after the conversion of the fire-worshipping Kassapa brothers, declaring the senses and their objects all ablaze with lust, hatred and delusion, at whose conclusion the thousand former fire-worshippers attained arahantship.
