包囲戦で敵陣六か所の奪取を助けながら重傷を負っても、交代を拒み最後まで戦い抜くと言い張る名馬についての本生譚で、七番目の陣まで奪取するのを助けたのち息絶え、英雄としての火葬を受けたという話である。

A Jātaka about a thoroughbred warhorse who, though grievously wounded while helping capture six enemy camps during a siege, insists on fighting to the end rather than being replaced, going on to help seize the seventh camp before dying and receiving a hero’s cremation.
