නිරයේ සත්ත්වයන්ගේ හඬ ඇසීමෙන් තිගැස්සුණු පසේනදි රජුට පිළිතුරු දෙමින්, පුරාණයේ බරණැස් රජෙකු මධ්‍යම රාත්‍රියේදී අමුතු ශබ්ද අටක් අසා තිගැස්සුණු නමුත් බෝධිසත්ත්වයා ඒවාට තිබූ මුළුමනින්ම ස්වාභාවික හේතු පෙන්වා දෙන තෙක් බියෙන් සිටි ආකාරය බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ පවසන ජාතක කතාවකි.
