王子アバヤ(Abhaya)がニガンタ・ナータプッタ(Nigaṇṭha Nāṭaputta)の考案した「如来は不快な言葉を語ることがあるか」というジレンマを提示し、仏陀が血が出ても子の口から棒を取り出す譬えで答えた経。
A discourse in which Prince Abhaya poses a dilemma devised by Nigaṇṭha Nāṭaputta about whether a Tathāgata ever speaks unpleasant words, and the Buddha answers with the analogy of removing a stick from a child’s mouth even at the cost of bleeding.
