Person韦陀（Veṭṭha）统治家族出身的一位长老，继承父业后闻佛说法而归信出家，留有《长老偈》中回应前来哭求他还俗的亲眷的偈颂。
An elder born into a ruling family of Veṭṭha who, after inheriting his father’s estate, was converted upon hearing the Buddha teach and left verses in the Theragāthā addressed to grieving kinsmen who came begging him to return.
