ナーガ王ダタラッタの娘でボーディサッタ・ブーリダッタの異母妹にあたるナーガの王女で、炎を吐き毒を吹くことができ、蛇使いアーラムバーナから兄を救うのを助けた人物。後の生では比丘尼ウッパラヴァンナーであった。

A Nāga princess, daughter of the Nāga king Dhataraṭṭha and half-sister of the Bodhisatta Bhūridatta, who could breathe flame and spit venom and helped rescue her brother from the snake-charmer Ālambāna; in a later life she was the nun Uppalavaṇṇā.
