SuttaA discourse in which the Buddha tells a fire-worshipping brahmin who boasts of his knowledge of the three Vedas that mere recitation of Vedic verses does not make one a true brahmin, and then declines the meal offered as payment, saying the Buddhas accept no wages for teaching.
