Aggika Sutta
Sutta三ヴェーダの知識を誇る拝火バラモンに、ヴェーダの詩句を唱えるだけでは真のバラモンにならないと仏陀が告げ、諸仏は教えの報酬を受け取らないと言って謝礼として供された食事を断る経典である。
A discourse in which the Buddha tells a fire-worshipping brahmin who boasts of his knowledge of the three Vedas that mere recitation of Vedic verses does not make one a true brahmin, and then declines the meal offered as payment, saying the Buddhas accept no wages for teaching.
