Aggika Sutta
Sutta一部经,佛陀告诉一位以精通三部吠陀自矜的事火婆罗门,徒然诵念吠陀经文并不能成就真正的婆罗门,并拒收对方作为教法酬劳所备的饭食,说明诸佛说法从不收取报酬。
A discourse in which the Buddha tells a fire-worshipping brahmin who boasts of his knowledge of the three Vedas that mere recitation of Vedic verses does not make one a true brahmin, and then declines the meal offered as payment, saying the Buddhas accept no wages for teaching.
