一部經，佛陀告訴一位以精通三部吠陀自矜的事火婆羅門，徒然誦唸吠陀經文並不能成就真正的婆羅門，並拒收對方作為教法酬勞所備的飯食，說明諸佛說法從不收取報酬。

A discourse in which the Buddha tells a fire-worshipping brahmin who boasts of his knowledge of the three Vedas that mere recitation of Vedic verses does not make one a true brahmin, and then declines the meal offered as payment, saying the Buddhas accept no wages for teaching.
