  • マガダ王ビンビサーラの息子で後継者。皇太子時代にデーヴァダッタの影響を受け、王位を奪うため父を殺害したが、後にその行為を深く悔いた。

  • Son and successor of King Bimbisāra of Magadha, who as crown prince fell under the influence of Devadatta, had his father killed to seize the throne, and later felt deep remorse for the deed.
