仏陀と比丘たちを七日間もてなしたサーヴァッティーの寛大な施主を称える語られたジャータカで、仏陀は昔の賢者たちが葉と水だけで生き延びながらも財産を他者と分かち合ったと語る。

A Jātaka related in praise of a generous donor of Sāvatthi who feasted the Buddha and the monks for seven days, in which the Buddha tells how wise men of old shared their possessions with others even while surviving on nothing but leaves and water.
