ဗုဒ္ဓါနှင့် ရဟန်းများအား ခုနစ်ရက်တိုင် ဆွမ်းလှူဒါန်းခဲ့သည့် သာဝတ္ထိမြို့မှ ရက်ရောသော ဒါယကာတစ်ဦးကို ချီးမွမ်းရန် ဟောကြားသည့် ဇာတ်တစ်ပုဒ်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ရှေးခေတ်ပညာရှိတို့သည် ရွက်နှင့် ရေကိုသာ စားသောက်ပြီး အသက်ရှင်နေရသော်လည်း မိမိတို့၏ ပိုင်ဆိုင်မှုများကို သူတစ်ပါးနှင့် ခွဲဝေခဲ့ကြောင်း ဗုဒ္ဓါ ရှင်းပြသည်။

A Jātaka related in praise of a generous donor of Sāvatthi who feasted the Buddha and the monks for seven days, in which the Buddha tells how wise men of old shared their possessions with others even while surviving on nothing but leaves and water.
