Un brahmane de Rājagaha qui, furieux de la conversion de son frère aîné, se rendit auprès du Bouddha pour l’insulter mais fut lui-même converti et atteignit plus tard l’état d’Arahant, gagnant le surnom d’Akkosaka (« l’insulteur ») pour avoir composé un pamphlet de 500 vers contre le Bouddha.

A brahmin of Rājagaha who, enraged at his elder brother’s conversion, visited the Buddha to insult him but was himself converted and later attained Arahantship, earning the epithet Akkosaka (‘the abuser’) for having composed a 500-verse lampoon against the Buddha.
