Akkosaka-Bhāradvāja
Person兄の改宗に激怒しブッダを侮辱しに訪れたラージャガハのバラモンで、逆に自らが教化されて後に阿羅漢果を得たが、ブッダを中傷する五百の詩句を作ったことからアッコーサカ(「罵る者」)の異名を得た。
A brahmin of Rājagaha who, enraged at his elder brother’s conversion, visited the Buddha to insult him but was himself converted and later attained Arahantship, earning the epithet Akkosaka (‘the abuser’) for having composed a 500-verse lampoon against the Buddha.
