Akkosaka-Bhāradvāja
Person王舍城一位婆羅門,因兄長皈依佛陀而怒不可遏,前去辱罵佛陀,反被佛陀度化並證阿羅漢果;因曾作五百偈譏毀佛陀,得「Akkosaka」(辱罵者)之名。
A brahmin of Rājagaha who, enraged at his elder brother’s conversion, visited the Buddha to insult him but was himself converted and later attained Arahantship, earning the epithet Akkosaka (‘the abuser’) for having composed a 500-verse lampoon against the Buddha.
