หญิงยากจนแห่งเมืองพาราณสี ผู้ไม่มีสิ่งใดจะถวายอื่นใด จึงถวายเนื้อแห้งไร้เกลือแด่พระพุทธเจ้าด้วยจิตศรัทธาขณะเสด็จบิณฑบาต และเมื่อหวนระลึกถึงทานนั้นอยู่เสมอ นางจึงไปเกิดในวิมานบนสวรรค์ชั้นดาวดึงส์ ซึ่งพระมหาโมคคัลลานะได้ยินเรื่องราวของนางที่นั่น

A poor woman of Bārāṇasī who, having nothing else to offer, gave the Buddha some dried, saltless meat with a devout heart as he passed on his alms round, and who, after constantly recalling her gift, was reborn in a mansion in Tāvatiṃsa, where Mahā-Moggallāna heard her story.
