アヌルッダ・スッタと同一視される経典で、アヌルッダが七つの大人の思惟を瞑想している間に仏陀が現れ、法は戯論を喜ぶ者ではなく少欲知足の者のためのものであるという八番目の思惟を加え、その後アヌルッダは阿羅漢果を得る。

A discourse identified with the Anuruddha Sutta, in which the Buddha appears before Anuruddha while he meditates on seven great thoughts and adds an eighth — that the Dhamma is for one content with little, not for one who delights in proliferation — after which Anuruddha attains Arahantship.
