マハージャナカ王の跡を継いでミティラーの王となった王子で、後に副王である弟のポーラジャナカに殺され、菩薩であるマハージャナカ王子の父である。

A son of King Mahājanaka who succeeded him as king of Mithilā, later killed by his brother Polajanaka the viceroy, and father of Prince Mahājanaka, the Bodhisatta.
