Āḷavi-Gotama
Person信によって阿羅漢果を得たと言われる長老で、仏がバーヴァリーの庵で光線として現れピンギヤに語られた『経集』の詩節に言及される。
A thera, who, according to Buddhaghosa (SnA.ii.606), attained Arahantship through faith.
He is mentioned in the Suttanipāta (vers.1146) in a verse spoken by the Buddha to Piṅgiya when the Buddha appeared in a ray of light at Bāvarī’s hermitage.
