Personクッラ・ダンマパーラ（Culla Dhammapāla）の師であり、ある資料によればサッチャサンケーパ（Saccasaṅkhepa）の著者。前述のムーラティーカー（Mūlaṭīkā）の著者である学僧と同一人物である可能性がある。
Teacher of Culla Dhammapāla, author of the Saccasaṅkhepa. The Saddhamma Saṅghala (ix) says that Ānanda was the author of the Saccasaṅkhepa. See also above Ānanda (11).
