Ahirāja Sutta

네 왕족 뱀족에게 자애를 닦아 자기 보호의 방편으로 삼도록 가르치는 경으로, 사왓티에서 한 비구가 뱀에 물린 후 설해졌으며, 다른 이름으로도 알려져 있다.

For self-protection one should practise loving-kindness (metta) for the four royal families of snakes:

Chabyāputta

Kaṇhā-gotamaka

It was taught when a monk was bitten by a snake at Sāvatthi. A.ii.72. Cp. Vin.ii.109; SA.ii.144.

Another name for it is the Khandha Paritta.
