Une pauvre femme de Bārāṇasī qui, n’ayant rien d’autre à offrir, donna au Bouddha, alors qu’il passait pour sa tournée d’aumônes, un peu de viande séchée sans sel avec un cœur dévot, et qui, se remémorant constamment son don, renaquit dans un palais du Tāvatiṃsa, où Mahā-Moggallāna entendit son histoire.

v.l. Ālomā.– A poor woman of Bārāṇasī. She saw the Buddha going on his begging round, and having nothing else to offer, gave him, with very pious heart, some dried flesh, old and saltless.

She thought constantly of her gift, and after death was born in a mansion (vimāna) in Tāvatiṃsa, where Mahā-Moggallāna came across her and heard her story from her. Vv.39; VvA.184.
