Asanabodhiya
PersonMột vị A-la-hán, vào thời Đức Phật Tissa đã trồng và chăm sóc suốt năm năm cây Asana trở thành cây Bồ đề của vị Phật ấy, sau đó hưởng thời gian dài giữa chư thiên và nhiều lần tái sinh làm Chuyển luân thánh vương và vua.
An Arahant. In the time of Tissa Buddha he planted the Asana-tree, which was the Buddha’s Bodhi-tree, and tended it for five years. The Buddha was very pleased with him and foretold for him a glorious future.
For thirty world-cycles he dwelt among the devas; seventy-seven world-cycles ago he was a Cakkavatti named Daṇḍasena, and one world-cycle later he was seven times king under the name of Samantanemi.
Twenty-five world-cycles ago he was a khattiya, Puṇṇaka by name. Ap.i.110-11.
