A royal title applied to several kings in different Jātaka tales, including rulers of Uttarapañcāla and Bārāṇasī.

A title by which Pañcāla, king of Uttarapañcāla, is addressed in the Sattigumba Jātaka;¹ also the king of Bārāṇasī in the Saṅkhapāla Jātaka² and Manoja, king of Bārāṇasī, in the Soṇananda Jātaka.³ The scholiast explains the word by raṭṭhabhāradhāritāya.⁴
