Buddhasīha
PersonA Sri Lankan monk and pupil of Buddhadatta, at whose request Buddhadatta is said to have written the Abhidhamma treatise Rūpārūpavibhāga, though one tradition credits the work to Buddhasīha himself.
A monk of Sri Lanka, pupil of Buddhadatta (1).
It was at his request that Buddhadatta wrote the Rūpārūpavibhāga (an Abhidhamma treatise). (P.L.C.108).
According to one tradition (SadS.30) Buddhasīha himself was the author of the work, but the colophon to the book states otherwise.
