Ein Nāga-König von Sri Lanka, Neffe von Mahodara, dessen Streit mit seinem Onkel um einen mit Juwelen besetzten Thron der Anlass für den Besuch des Buddha auf der Insel war.

A Nāga king of Sri Lanka, nephew of Mahodara. His father was the king of Kaṇṇavaḍḍhamāna mountain. It was the quarrel between Cūḷodara and Mahodara regarding a jewelled throne that was the cause of a visit of the Buddha to Sri Lanka. Mhv.i.45 ff; Dpv.ii.7, 29; Sp.i.120.
