Cūḷa-Assapura Sutta
Sutta앗사뿌라에서 설해진 이 경은, 가사나 나무 밑에 사는 것, 경전을 독송하는 것, 하루 세 번 목욕하는 것이 진정한 사문을 만드는 것이 아니라, 모든 악한 성질을 버리는 것이 그렇게 한다고 설명한다.
Taught at Assapura to the assembled monks.
It is not the robe that makes the recluse, nor living under a tree, nor intoning texts, bathing three times a day, etc.
It is by putting away all the evil qualities that a man becomes a true monk. M.i.281-4.
