Cūḷa-Assapura Sutta
SuttaĐược thuyết tại Assapura, kinh này giải thích rằng không phải y áo, sống dưới gốc cây, tụng đọc kinh văn, hay tắm ba lần mỗi ngày làm nên một sa-môn chân chính, mà là sự từ bỏ mọi tính xấu ác.
Taught at Assapura to the assembled monks.
It is not the robe that makes the recluse, nor living under a tree, nor intoning texts, bathing three times a day, etc.
It is by putting away all the evil qualities that a man becomes a true monk. M.i.281-4.
