Daṇḍakārañña
Place단다끼왕의 죄로 인해 황폐해진 후 깔링가를 뒤덮은 숲으로, 고다와리강을 따라 뻗어 있으며 중원과 데칸 고원을 갈라놓는다.
The forest that overgrew Kāliṅga when it was laid waste through the wickedness of King Daṇḍakī(q.v.) (M.i.378; Mil.130).
It was on the banks of the Godāvarī and, with the Viñjhātavi, separated the Majjhimadesa from the Dakkhiṇāpatha. It probably comprised all the forests from Bundelkhand to the river Krishna.
