A Sakyan chief known as Devadaha-Sakka, father of Añjana and Kaccānā, and thus grandfather, through his daughter Añjana, of both Mahāmāyā and Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī.

A Sakyan chief called Devadaha-Sakka.

His children were Añjana and Kaccānā. Mahāmāyā and Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī, respectively mother and step-mother of the Buddha, were daughters of Añjana. Mhv.ii.17; MT.87.
