PersonAnother Koravya king of the Kurus at Indapatta, whose minister was Vidhurapaṇḍita and who lost him in a game of dice to Puṇṇaka, as told in the Vidhurapaṇḍita Jātaka; also identified with a past life of Ānanda.
Also called Koravya, king of the Kurus, with his capital at Indapatta. His minister was Vidhurapaṇḍita. He was fond of games of dice and was defeated by Puṇṇaka. For his story see the Vidhurapaṇḍita Jātaka (J.vi.255 ff; SNA.i.223). He is identified with Ānanda. He is probably also the king mentioned in the Dhūmakāri Jātaka. J.iii.400 ff.
