Un village brahmane près de Dakkhiṇagiri au sud de Rājagaha, où le Bouddha, durant la onzième année de son ministère, convertit le fermier Kāsī Bhāradvāja en lui enseignant le discours qui porte son nom

A brahmin village near Dakkhiṇagiri, to the south of Rājagaha. Once, during the eleventh year of his ministry, the Buddha visited the village and taught Kāsī-Bhāradvāja the sutta that bears his name and which converted him to the faith (Sn.pp.12 ff; SnA.i.136; S.i.172 ff).

Near to the village was the Dakkhiṇagiri-vihāra. SA.i.188.
