A royal nāga lineage, one of four such ‘nāga royal families’ — alongside Virūpakkhā, Chabyāputtā, and Kaṇhagotamakā — toward whom monks are advised to cultivate loving-kindness for their own protection.

A royal family of Nāgā, mentioned together with Virūpakkhā, Chabyāputtā, and Kaṇhagotamakā, all of them described as “Nāgarājakulāni.” (J.ii.145) For their own protection, monks are advised to fill their hearts with amity for these four classes of Nāgā. A.ii.72; Vin.ii.109 f.
