Place斯里兰卡南部的一个地区，都城为摩诃伽摩，Goṭṭhayimbara 与 Veḷusumana 的出生地皆在其境内，由酋长 Giribhojaka 治理。
A district in South Sri Lanka. Its capital was Mahāgāma. It included the villages of Nitthulavitthika, birthplace of Goṭṭhayimbara (Mhv.xxiii.49), and Kuṭumbiyaṅgaṇagāma, birthplace of Veḷusumana (Mhv.xxiii.68). The district was also evidently called Girimaṇḍala. The chieftain of Giri was Giribhojaka (Mhv.xxiii.69, 70, 75; MT.454), sometimes called Girimaṇḍalika (MT.452).
