Illisa Jātaka
JātakaChuyện Bổn sanh kể về một người đàn ông nổi tiếng keo kiệt, được kể liên hệ đến việc Tôn giả Mahā-Moggallāna cảm hóa một chủ ngân hàng cũng keo kiệt tương tự, mà kẻ keo kiệt trong chuyện xưa chính là tiền thân của người ấy, và được dẫn ra như một ví dụ về thần thông dùng để làm cho vật nhỏ trở nên lớn.
The story of Illisa. The Jātaka was related in reference to the conversion by Mahā-Moggallāna of the banker Maccharikosiya (q.v.) of Sakkhara. Illisa of the past is identified with Macchariyakosiya (J.i.345 ff).
The story is given as an example of psychic powers (iddhi) by means of which Moggallāna made a little thing increase manifold. Vism.ii.403.
