Illisa Jātaka
JātakaUn jātaka sur un homme réputé pour son avarice notoire, raconté à propos de la conversion par Mahā-Moggallāna d’un banquier tout aussi avare, identifié à cet avare antérieur, et cité comme exemple de pouvoir psychique utilisé pour agrandir une petite chose.
The story of Illisa. The Jātaka was related in reference to the conversion by Mahā-Moggallāna of the banker Maccharikosiya (q.v.) of Sakkhara. Illisa of the past is identified with Macchariyakosiya (J.i.345 ff).
The story is given as an example of psychic powers (iddhi) by means of which Moggallāna made a little thing increase manifold. Vism.ii.403.
