一位阿羅漢,聞占相師預言毗婆屍太子降生時將成佛,遂供奉茉莉花以誌慶賀;可能即三彌提笈多長老。

An Arahant. On the day of Vipassī Buddha’s birth many miracles occurred, and soothsayers predicted that he would be a Buddha. Jātipūjaka, hearing this, offered him jasmine flowers. Three world-cycles ago he became king thirty-four times under the name of Supāricariya (Ap.i.154).

He is probably identical with Samitigutta. ThagA.i.176.
