Khallāṭanāga

Un roi de Sri Lanka, fils de Saddhā Tissa, qui construisit le monastère de Kurundavāsoka avant d’être tué par son propre général.

Son of Saddhā Tissa and younger brother of Lañjakatissa. He was king of Sri Lanka (50-43 B.C.).

Among his religious works was the construction of the Kurundavāsoka-vihāra.

He was killed by the general Mahārattaka. Khallātanāga’s wife was Anulā, and his son was Mahācūlika. Mhv.xxxiii.29 ff; Dpv.xx.12 f.
