Maggadāyaka

An arahant who, ninety-four world-cycles ago, made a path for Siddhattha Buddha walking in the forest, using basket and hoe, and who fifty-seven world-cycles ago was a king named Suppabuddha.

An Arahant. Ninety-four world-cycles ago he saw Siddhattha Buddha walking in the forest, and, with basket and hoe, made a path for him.

Fifty-seven world-cycles ago he was a king named Suppabuddha (Ap.i.173).

He is probably identical with Eraka Thera. ThagA.i.193 f.
