Mahāli Sutta2
SuttaA discourse in which Mahāli asks the Buddha whether he has seen Sakka, and the Buddha confirms he knows the path by which one is reborn as Sakka.
Mahāli visits the Buddha at the Kūṭāgārasālā and asks him if he has seen Sakka. The Buddha says that he has, and also knows the way that led to Sakka’s rebirth as Sakka. S.i.230.
