Mahāpuṇṇama Sutta
SuttaUn discours enseigné au Migāramātupāsāda lors d’une nuit de pleine lune, dans lequel le Bouddha répond aux questions d’un moine sur les cinq agrégats d’attachement et sur la manière dont naît la vue de la personnalité, enseignant que la libération vient de la réalisation qu’il n’existe de soi dans aucun des agrégats — un discours qui aurait fait de soixante moines des Arahants.
Taught at the Migāramātupāsāda on a full-moon night. A monk asks the Buddha a series of questions regarding the five aggregates of attachment (upādānakkhandhā), their origin, their definition, and also as to how personality-view (sakkāyadiṭṭhi) arises.
The Buddha answers him, and shows how deliverance can be attained by realisation that there is no self in any of the aggregates.
It is said that sixty monks who heard the sutta became Arahants. M.iii.15-20.
