Mahāpanāda

Ein König von Mithilā, Sohn des Suruci, berühmt für seinen hoch aufragenden hundertstöckigen Smaragdpalast, und eine frühere Geburt des Mönchs Bhaddaji.

Son of Suruci and king of Mithilā. He owned a palace one hundred storeys high, all of emerald; it was one thousand bow-shots (twenty-five leagues) high and sixteen broad and held six thousand musicians.

Mahāpanāda was a previous birth of Bhaddaji. See the Mahāpanāda Jātaka and also Kosalā. See also Saṅkha (3).
