바라나시의 왕으로, 《쭐라담마팔라 자타카》에서 보살의 아버지. 땅에 삼켜진 데바닷타와 동일 인물로 여겨진다.
King of Bārāṇasī, father of the Bodhisatta in the Cūḷadhammapāla Jātaka (q.v.) He is identified with Devadatta. He was swallowed up by the earth. J.iii.182. DhA.i.129.
