A monk entrusted by King Parakkamabāhu IV with translating the Jātaka stories into Sinhalese, for whom the king built the Parakkamabāhu monastery and endowed it with several villages.

He was entrusted by Parakkamabāhu IV with the translation of the Jātaka stories into Singhalese. The king built for him a pariveṇa called the Parakkamabāhu pariveṇa, and gave for its maintenance the villages of Purānagāma, Sannīrasela, Labujamaṇḍaka and Moravaṅka. Cv.xc.86.
