Milinda

Person

A king of Sāgala, born in Kalasi in Alasandā, whose recorded dialogues with the elder Nāgasena in the Milindapañha describe his conversion to Buddhism; he is identified with the Bactrian king Menander.

King of Sāgala. He was born in Kalasi in Alasandā.

His discussions with the Buddhist elder Nāgasena are recorded in the Milindapañha. It is said there that the king embraced Buddhism.
