Person

An arahant who, thirty-one world-cycles ago, offered a garland of reed flowers to the Buddha Sikhī and is thought to be the same person as the elder Dhaniya.

An Arahant. Thirty-one world-cycles ago he saw Sikhī Buddha and gave him a garland of reed flowers (Ap.ii.412). He is probably identical with Dhaniya Thera (ThagA.i.347).
