A brahmin student called Nanda māṇava, one of the chief disciples of Bāvarī, who questioned the Buddha and later became an Arahant.

Called Nanda māṇava. One of the chief disciples of Bāvarī; he visited the Buddha: His conversation with the Buddha is recorded in the Nanda-māṇava Pucchā. Later, he became an Arahant. SN.vs.1007, 1124.
