Narasīha

Person

A king of India who ruled Kainduvethi and, as a friend of Mānavamma, helped him defeat the Vallabhā king in return for help gaining the throne of Sri Lanka.

King of India, ruler of Kainduvethi, and friend of Mānavamma (s.v. Māna). The latter helped him to defeat the Vallabhā king, and was rewarded by Narasīha’s help in acquiring the throne of Sri Lanka. Cv.xlvii.4-49.
